World Book Day 2019

For World Book Day 2019, children were invited to dress up as their favourite book characters – we were amazed by the effort and variety of costumes that the children came dressed in so thank you so much! In the morning Mr Dadley and Mr Bevan led an assembly where the children were able to take part in a ‘Cat Walk’ so that they could showcase their costumes while being able to see the costumes the other children were dress in. During the assembly children were also shown some of the other countries who take part in World Book Day all around the world, including Sweden and the USA. In their classes children did lots of World Book Day themed activities from creating book marks to redesign existing book covers based on what they had read. Children were able to have meals from around the world as part of their usual school dinners. To end the day children were read stories in their classes to end what was a superb day that was enjoyed by all!
