On Monday, Year 3 travelled to Stratford-Upon-Avon as part of our contrasting localities study. First, 3EP went to visit the Stratford Butterfly Park , where they were given a tour of the farm and found out about the ‘Life Cycle of a Butterfly’. After the tour, children then had time to buy a souvenir from the gift shop. Meanwhile, 3GB were exploring the streets of Stratford. They sketched the RSC theatre, examined Tudor Houses and undertook a traffic survey. Later this term, Year 3 will compare Stratford to our local area, Bedworth. After lunch, both groups swapped over. 3EP were the luckiest class, as they managed to avoid the rain!
Everybody had a fantastic day and many members of the public commented on the children’s fantastic behaviour. Well done Year 3!
