Year 6 – Imagineering Imagibots

On Thursday 25th February, 6TJ were fortunate enough to be one of the very first classes in Warwickshire to make and program their very own ‘Imagibots’. This was thanks to our visiting ‘Imagineers’, all of whom are engineers who believe that primary school children should be  encouraged to think about engineering as a future career choice. During the morning our Year 6 pupils learnt to assemble a robot, wire it up to a ‘Crumble’ board, write code to program it to move in a required way (to knock down skittles in a small bowling alley) as well as design a shell to make it unique. The morning provided a fantastic learning experience which was thoroughly enjoyed by each and every member of the class. Now 6SC are really looking forward to their session next Thursday morning!
