Year 6 – Visit to St. John’s House Museum, Warwick – ‘A Victorian Christmas’

On Thursday 10th October, Year 6 took part in a day project entitled ‘A Victorian Christmas’, which was run by the staff of Warwickshire Heritage Education.  This involved a visit to the impressive, St. John’s House Museum, during which the children became Victorian school pupils and  took part in a lesson in a Victorian classroom, helped the cook to make a Christmas pudding in the kitchen and created  traditional Victorian Christmas decorations. The afternoon was rounded off by singing carols around the beautiful Christmas tree, in the main hall, before returning home tired but happy.
